Gwen Le Gouil, French Journalist, Survives Somalian Kidnapping.
French journalist, Gwen Le Gouil, was kidnapped by men brandishing guns within 24 hours after landing in Bossasso. He was there to research a human trafficking story. His abductors asked for $70,000 ransom money but released him after 8 days, unharmed and in good health. The year 2007 saw 8 journalists killed in Somalia, making it the second most dangerous country for journalists after Iraq.
