“What will we do for money”, Shakeel Ahmed’s aged father asked, as he wiped his eyes. “He was the only one earning in the family. I have another son who is unemployed and a daughter who is divorced with five children.” Shakeel’s parents are looking after him in hospital after he was recently underwent surgery to remove a kidney. Nothing so unusual, perhaps, except that this was without his consent. In India the supply is nowhere near the demand for kidneys, and the illegal trade is booming. Shakeel went to Delhi looking for work and was picked up by two men who offered him a construction job. “They drove me to a house far away. On the way they asked me some strange questions, like if I had any disease.” He was moved to another house with two other men and given an injection. “When I woke up,” he said, “I felt this terrible pain in my abdomen. They told me they had taken out my kidney. I thought I was going to die,” he said.Shakeel Ahmed Discovers He Only Had One Kidney

He would take them back to his pig farm where they would be slaughtered and fed to his pigs. He has been convicted of 6 murders with a further 20 pending. Bob is pleading not guilty but the circumstantial evidence is ‘overwhelming’, his barrister is quoted as saying.

Lynn Ellingson walked in on Robert Pickton, the 58 year old Vancouver pig farmer, when he was covered in blood and had Georgina Papin hanging from a chain in the farm’s slaughterhouse. Parts of women’s bodies were discovered in the dustbin, the pig pen and buried in manure. The prosecutor argued that the evidence, though circumstantial, was more than enough to prove that Pickton was the murderer. Under Canadian law, a murder conviction leads to an automatic life sentence. He is charged with killing 26 women, picked up from a seedy Vancouver neighbourhood.

Our controversial, ‘change the world’, chef, Jamie Oliver has done it again. This time he isn’t electrocuting school children, no matter how much he was tempted, its chickens. He is trying to show the world the horrors of the animal butchering industry and how it is no longer done by farmers who have raised them since they were babies, but rather it is now an unpleasant & uncaring industry. Oliver simply imitates the industry & shows how they are electrocuted and suffocated. He does this on his show and is quoted as saying, ‘if this stops just 5% of people from eating chickens killed this way, it has been worth it’.
