3 weeks ago, Lance Corporal Maria Lauterbach went missing, just days after speaking to military prosecutors about being raped by fellow marine, Corporal Ceser Armando Laurean, who has also gone missing. Lauterbach’s pregnant remains are believed to have been found in a fire pit at the back of Laurean’s house. Laurean has fled after leaving a note for his wife in which he claims that Lauterbach ‘slit her own throat’. He also claims to have had nothing to do with her murder and that he simply buried the body. The police are now combing the house and surrounds for traces of blood and other evidence.
