Apple is staying on the ball
Apple has announced is revamp of its most popular product, the iPod. They even have announced that they will discontinue one of the two iPhone models. They will keep the one with 8 gigabytes of storage. They are dropping the price of the iPhone some $200 dollars and it is now available for only $399. I think the biggest news is about the iPod because it has not been changed for about two and a half years.
The main changes of the new iPods are bigger screens and even more storage for those song lovers that need every song that they can think of on their iPod. The coolest addition is an iPod that mimics the sweet technology of the iPhone, called the iPod Touch. The new iPod can hold up to 40,000 songs compared to their first model which could only hold 1,000. Apple now has four different models, which are the Touch, Nano, Shuffle, and the classic model. Apple keeps reinventing their own product and keeping the competition at bay. Even the nano, which is Apple’s smallest iPod, will have a screen and more memory space. If Apple continues to bring out better products than the competition, then no one will be able to touch them in the media player industry. There are even talks about something called an iCar. More to come on that little gadget.
