Hurricane Felix is now a Category 5

Submitted by blookman on September 1, 2007 – 10:06 pmNo Comment

We all know that hurricane season is in full swing and many of are trying to get ready for any potential for disaster. As many people in the states have seen the aftermaths of many named hurricanes through the years, now it is safe to say that there is another Category 5 hurricane in the waters of the Caribbean. It looks like the already flooded lands of Texas might meet the storm at around Friday or Saturday of this week. Felix has winds at about 165 miles an hour, which it 10 higher than what makes the classification of a category 5, which is the highest rating that we have.

The only good news with the storm is that is might not be as hard hitting as some previously may have thought, but Texas doesn’t need anymore rain. They have been flooded for a solid 2 months now and it doesn’t seem that they are going to be getting a break. As most of the US is in a serious drought, Texas is on the opposite side of the spectrum. Just make sure that you follow this massive storm as it can turn wherever it pleases and you need to be prepared for it!
