According to PAGASA(Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration), there will be a total lunar eclipse today, August 28, 2007 which will be visible in eastern Asia, the Pacific, Australasia, America but except the eastern part of South America and the north-eastern parts of North America, and Antarctica according to a press release by PAGASA.

These are the major phases of the eclipse according to PAGASA:

  1. Moon enters penumbra at 3:52 PM
  2. Moon enters umbra at 4:50 PM
  3. Moon enters totality at 5:52 PM
  4. Middle of eclipse at 7:22 PM
  5. Moon leaves umbra at 8:23 PM
  6. Moon leaves penumbra at 9:22 PM

I truly hope that the sky clears up here tonight as it is not often that you get the see something like this.
