The iPhone used on another network?
The Apple iPhone is a great new technological advance when it comes to cell phones and MP3 players. Everyone wants one, but in order to use it you have to have AT&T as their cell phone carrier. I would love to have an iPhone because of all its capabilities and compact size, but I do not want to change my cell phone carrier just to use it. I am sure that many other people feel the same way I do. Well, if you know how to change software and solder wires together, then you can get your iPhone to work on T-mobiles network as well.
This hack came about from a 17-year old kid that hacked the iPhone with the help of some people from Russia and some from the US. According to CNN, who put up the article about this kid, he had put the instructions online for other people to use. The only problem is that there will be some people that will hack the phone and then sell it overseas to use on their networks. The kid that hacked it was upset that people might make money off of his hack. It is funny to me to think that Apple worked so hard to keep the iPhone to one carrier, but leave it to someone to find a way around that. Technology can be so complex, but sometimes very easy to manipulate.
